My theory: This is the flip side of Ditto. In Ditto we see it from the fans perspective of how they become real for Heesoo, but she finally gave them up for her reality. I think this is their side of it...what happens when they lose their fans...their whole identity gets all mixed up! Hanni thinks she’s an iPhone, Minji, the leader sees herself as the doctor taking care of everyone, hyein thinks she’s in a fairytale world switching from one story to another, Haerin thinks she’s a cat since Heesoo connected her to a cat. Only Danielle keeps their connection to the real world of artists creating this reality. In the end we see the doctor pick up their drawing that comes alive...which tells us that this world in the psych ward is not real either. Love the little montage of who new jeans are and ending with Minji saying stop. The final scene...love! Times up for the haters! Lol This group is so authentic! That’s their secret! They look like teens, act like teens, sings like young girls and make music that are relatable and resonates with people. I think they will be the next big global group that comes from Korea. What I like is they are forging their own path not following any pre-established kpop formula...love these girls!

@@princessk878 I'm pretty sure Hyein as a ghost is to show that she is losing her identity when in front of that bear which looks cute and adorable but we saw what it's really like behind the scenes, deadly and scary to the point it killed her hero. (And the bear is probably some sort of symbolism for fans/public).

I think it goes beyond that, it's their perspective of being an idol in general. Everyone is facing an identity crisis, I believe Danielle is too, maybe the worst of them all. She believes they are NewJeans 24/7, always believing they are doing idol activities. Minji tries to help the others despite realizing that she herself needs help. Hanni feels used like an iPhone, Haerin being called a cat all of the time now thinks she is one and the real Hyein is fading away before our eyes. At least that's my understanding. Not sure how connected to Ditto it is other than the shared dancing scenes but when Hanni is writing she is writing a message to Heesoo to pick up her phone which makes me question whether her phone was even ringing in Ditto B or if she was just imagining that too.

We are with them everyday keeping them happy and joyful so when a fan decides to leave the fandom it also affects the idols cause of how dependent they are on us. I'm not great with "theories" as far as consistent storylines in lore go but based off of this MV, the members seem to all have been admitted into the psych ward and are going "crazy" - one thinks they're a doctor - one thinks they're a princess waiting for true love - one thinks they're an iPhone - one thinks they're a cat - one is trying to get the others to remember that they're newjeans and a recurring motif in the MV was "crazy in love" based on the iPhone ++ princess scenes where they were both going crazy in hopes of showing love/acts of service for someone they care about

Recently read Shin Woo-Seok's (Ditto's and OMG's director, also in the MV at 4:45 - that's the actual director/crew :')) interview and he kinda gave an explanation to OMG's MV meaning so here's some context: "When we first began to work on our first project together (Ditto), Min Hee-jin (NJ's CEO/Producer) said that it would be best that we get to know more about the kids (NJ) and their personalities, so she set up a meeting over dinner and invited us over to Ador. [...] It was so great to see kids at Ador have such creative imaginations and can freely expressed themselves. [...] But these kids are in the public eye still, so however innocent their intentions might be, what they do might still be misconstrued. They are kids who might think freely *now*, but what would happen when they lose themselves being exposed to so much criticism and misperception? What would become of one if one keep having to limit what he/she does as an artist and as a person? I had these thoughts, so the script was also developed in this direction"

Basically it's a very clever commentary on idol culture and the public-idol dynamic: NJ thinking they're different things = state of identity confusion (due to being exposed to too much misperception from the public) Hanni being Siri - "I exist only for you" Minji thinking she's a doctor - entertainers taking it upon themselves to heal others/the "rock" of the group who thinks she can save others from the confusion/criticism without realizing she's affected by it herself Hyein and her "princess disease" - idols being perceived as self-centered and always thinking they were the main characters (Dani and Haerin I'm not so sure yet lol) Also at the end, the scene when a doctor looked at their doodles and then the sky, only to see the exact drawings might mean that the "crazy" kids were actually right all along

Ok so here is the explanation you all have been looking for. So in OMG it’s about what happened to Heeseo’s friends (aka new jeans) basically what’s going on is that something happened that made them forget their identity so they created them with what small fragments were left. So Hanni thinks she is an iPhone likely because she was always glued to her phone. Minji due to her personality thinks she is a doctor (she is more dense and mature), like she can’t indulge much in her i magination so she is trying to help herself (you can see how she picks herself up, I have a hunch it’s like her child self who actually had an imagination). Hyein thinks she is a princess because of her “My Love Story” book, you can see the different scenarios from different fairy tales, movies and dramas come true in her fantasy with the members acting as different characters (Danielle is her love interest, Haerin is the evil queen); that’s why Dani saw goest Hyein, because in theory she died because she was poisoned, however that Dani is actually what Hyein thinks Danielle is seeing. That’s because Danielle thinks they’re Newjeans (which they are lol) but she thinks this and is considered delusional in this scenario because as we saw in Ditto they are just a group of school friends that liked to dance and record their dances. Now Haerin believes her sketches are reality, because likely the main part of her past identity was drawing hence when she woke up she saw her sketchbook and believed they were reality. Now because they can’t remember their personality they were sent here as said beforehand. However their friend Ban Heeseo had to deal with their “loss” with different mechanisms which we see in Ditto. Basically she recorded with her camera the now empty spaces where Newjeans used to dance in. She did this kind of hoping to visualise them and remember the memories more vividly. But yeah that’s it

The meaning of this OMG music video is that all 5 members are patients in a mental hospital. The first patient is Hanni, but she thinks she has an iPhone, that is, Shiri. If you change the Korean letters on the iPhone, it means idol, but I was confused because idols have to come when fans call, sing the songs they want to hear, and listen to fans' demands. The second patient is Daniel, and she is always smiling positively even when watching the TV with the screen turned off. The third is Minji. She thinks of Minji as a child as a patient and mistakenly thinks that she is a doctor at a mental hospital. The fourth is Hye-in. Hye-in thinks she is a princess from a fairy tale, and the fairy tales are described in the order of the book titles. The last one is Hae-rin. The members usually nickname her Cat Gang, so she thinks she is a cat. Daniel says we are NewJeans and is currently filming a music video, and even the director who created the music video appears. Hi from the future that its Newjeans Year. Heres the theory. OMG and DITTO are connected from a KPOP idol and Fan perspective. OMG Displays the psychological personality that idols display. Iphone Hanni represents the connection of idols and fans by just a phone away. The rest of the members are known for their personalities such as Haerin as a cat because of their features and Danielle as a bubbly one. Why it connects to Ditto is because we are seeing in the eyes of a fan that sees newjeans but does not exist because we create our delusion of newjeans as our physical friends. Now the last part of OMG is important to the story. Ban Hee Soo is the fan pov of DITTO and is the one sitting in one of the chairs in OMG or shows as a bunny plushie. She wrote the comment of “just show their faces and dance” which is connected to the channel titled BAN HEE SOO (Bunnies in korean pronounciatoon) where the last video of that channel is what she wanted to show what OMG would have been in relation to the comment at the end of OMG.

Ditto is from fan perspective (watching ur favs idols online through camera only) and OMG is from idol's pov (they're idols but it's only a part of themselves as their job/career). WHOA -- just blew my mind here with "OMG" -- this is a saga/mini-series that continues/connects/related to "Ditto". So the girl in the "Ditto" video has an illness, whereby she saw all those people, but the people didn't see her recording NewJeans. So then, this video explains what may be happening to her? And @BRISxLIFE, when there were others explaining about how the girl with the cast recording had a mental illiness and this is the continuation of that concept. However, it *may* actually be real indeed -- when the Dr. looked at the piece of scratch paper with the "imaginary" dinosaur at the end of the video, he looked outside and saw the dinosaur. That's my thought in a nutshell...literally blew up in my face with this juicy revelation!!!
