Actually hourglass bodies are super rare, you can find many pears, and inverted triangles in kpop with some defined waist but you rarely can find an hourglass, only yoona & jessi that have hourglass ( idk if there is someone else but these are the most highlighted ones )

Kids can GROW INTO an hourglass (read: curvy) shape, but that is a descriptor that should be reserved for adults who have gone through puberty already. In no way should it be a requisite for what is deemed beautiful in LITERAL CHILDREN. They don’t, if we want to be precise, V shaped jaw especially in KBS isn’t just having a slim and a small jaw that makes a similar shape to V, it is literally V, the jaw should be sharp and the tips too, shouldn’t be always a perfect V, but in KBS these and many idols aren’t really considered as perfect V or as a real V shaped jaw, most of the members in new jeans and many other idols have a “U”shaped jaw ( small from the chin area ), but not really V, for example karina from aespa even before her plastic surgery ( jaw shaving ) she had a great V shaped jaw, but now it’s much sharper and more defined ( that’s an example of the kbs )

For all the foreigners who might be confused by watching all these k beauty standard videos and maybe wondering if we actually would be this picky, I just want to say most of them totally misinterprets Korean beauty standards. New jeans members are all pretty and gorgeous, and like all the other ppl around the world, We know beautiful ppl by first sight, within the so-called standard or not. We don’t go like, oh she doesn’t have double eyelid she’s not pretty. Ah, I hope new jeans Hanni had a v shaped face. These video makes us feel inflexible and makes us look like strict evaluators when we’re actually not. We are actually very open minded and we do know how to understand characteristics among different ppl and loves who has a distinctively beautiful features! Just so you know.
