There’s no music player like Nobuyuki Tsujii! His music is pure and always touches all hearts. How can he do it in such a wonderful way is everyone’s guess. Bravo and thank you maestro.
This is a wonder and miracle in the world, incredible. Every time I hear Nobuyuki plays I am able to hear all the notes, while the layering inner voices are still crystal clear yet supporting and complimenting the melody lines. I have heard other performances of Rach3 but had always been confused by all the notes crushing together and could not really felt the piece; Nobuyuki's playing helps me feel the music and understand the piece a lot more now.
I think if Rachmaninov had been told while composing this concerto that one day a blind piansit would play it with a major orchestra he would have laughed lightly not taking that seriouly. But if he could see and hear Mr Tsuji he would have tears like i do. Not just because of his playing but but because his presence makes people turn more kind. One last thing i hope someday mr Tsuji will start a music school for the blinds that teaches the special techniques he developped and mastered and inspire similar vocations in other instruments as well. I bet he would have no problem getting charity fundings by billionaires and many people.
His playing transcends mere words. His mastery of one of the most challenging pieces in the piano repertoire is quite simply brilliant. In September, I’m going to the Royal Albert Hall in London to hear him play this piece. Watch this space!!

This is as good as it gets. Nobu sets the bar so high. He is arguably the best pianist in the world right now. Even the angels in heaven are listening.

@@lynnluu2681 i cry too. I cannot help it touches me deeply that he is blind yet able to achieve world stage pianist. he looks humble and cute.
What a brilliant performance by Nobuyuki Tsujii and Liverpool Phil. Nobu's interpretation of this piece is more than superb and there are so many reasons why there are posts here indicating God given talent and all that. It is simply astonishing. Nobuyuki never makes his performance of any piece all about himself. There is always some what very subtle under tone in his performance in which we can catch that he holds so much admiration of the composers in such humble manners. In every recital or concerto of Nobuyuki leads you to the open door to to your mind to think and feel about the composer. You hear not only hear Nobuyuki's brilliant performance but the insights of the composers of every piece he plays. That quality must only come from his own deep appreciation of the music.
