I just drove up to Micro Air from South Jersey this past Monday with my daughter. I picked up a 368-48 for my house 3.5 ton central air conditioner compressor, which I will install shortly. While we were there, we were very courteously given the FULL factory tour. To say I was impressed would be an understatement!! The engineering and quality control that Micro Air exhibits is amazing, and certainly a point of pride for not only New Jersey, but for the United States, too. Manufacturing of this caliber has been long lost from the USA, but it certainly exists HERE!!! If you don't have a Micro Air Easy Start yet, my professional suggestion is to GET one! I'm retired from over 40 years in the R&D government electronics sector, so I know of what I speak. You'll be glad you did.

I installed the soft starter last week. Easy to install, performs great, it brought down my AC unit kick start from 73 Amps to 25 Amps. Even though I have a 11,000 watts generator, the easy start certainly complements and it will extend the life of my compresor. After seeing this tour, I am happy to support an American based product, and I will definitely check out their thermostat, since I am looking to replace my existing Honeywell thermostat.

I installed my Micro-Air last May. It has buffered and protected my 14 year old Condenser to the tune of 4500 start cycles. Its a super device...very pleased.

Excellent information! One day I may get to build my own bus. This might just come in handy. Don’t know how a mini split works when using solar. To spike or not to spike! Whatever. It’s not written in stone but it never hurts ro have the information.
