Great job... you should do a series for Sunday evenings. An introduction and a table of subjects regarding the Word of God in English. Visit the grammar, the high English ect (how modern English can't even adequately or accurately convey the Word). Perhaps you can live stream it. Your wheelhouse, it's a blessing. Thank you.

A couple of years late to the video: The verses referred to in the KJV are found in the Geneva Bible. There is very little difference in the scriptures between these two Bibles. Unlike the KJV (which I own and read along side the Geneva and NKJV) the Geneva was not a government or Church sponsored or mandated translation of the scriptures (what difference between Church of England or Church of Rome endorsed scripture?). The Geneva was put together by people in exile/escaping persecution and is a very trust worthy translation. Upon completion, it was dedicated to Englands Queen Elizabeth. In my mind, there was no need for another translation of the Bible into English, but I acknowledge/understand that King James did take offense over the some of the translators notes. I agree that many of the popular newer translations leave out a lot. My apologies if my 2 cents offended anyone.

Good teaching. In a group study with 60 men almost all of who read from a NIV, ESV, NASB, etc. Many including the former teacher ( ESV) are clueless on important doctrine. Trinity, once saved always saved, salvation without baptism, etc. I'm the lone heretic.

This takes a lot of spine (and other parts) good on you preacher man. What are the king James dictionaries? I want one, or 12. Also, love the podcast. I catch up about once a week while I'm working. Not everyone on the construction sites love it, but that's fine.

I do not constrain myself to any particular translation. I prefer my NKJV when doing casual reading. But when doing research, I use all my 7 or 8 English translations, 4 Greek to English Concordants, and 3 Literal translations. To use but one translation is, in my view, ill advised, unless you have the Greek firmly in memory.

@makarov138..... I know this is a little late .. but I just now saw your post... I do Not wish to dis the NKJV.. because I myself have used this translation in years past...but over the years since 2006... when I switched to KJV only I have discovered some errors in the NKJV... where the translators.. Not just modernized the KJV but actually changed the inference and desired meaning of the KJV.. here are just a few examples.. please note... Genesis 22:8 KJV..."....God will provide Himself a lamb..."..NKJV... "God will provide FOR Himself a lamb ".. do you see that by simply adding the word "for".. in that verse the translators have taken away the idea.. that God himself.. would be the lamb.. detracting from the thought of Christ's death on the cross. Haggai 1:10.....KJV.."Therefore the heaven OVER YOU is stayed from dew,and the earth is stayed from her fruit.."..NKJV,...."Therefore the heavens ABOVE YOU withhold the dew...".. this seems to state the same thing correct......WRONG!.. the intended meaning of the words "FOR YOU".. in the KJV.. is "FOR YOUR SAKE"...or "BECAUSE OF YOU"... the words "FOR YOU".. were not written to state that the heavens above were withheld from dew.. In this instance God was blaming the Sin of man.. for the with holding of dew in heaven and on earth.. God was making an accusation against Mankind.... this gets lost by changing the words from "over you".. to above you ".. 1 Cor 1:18... KJV.. "..unto us which are saved"/. .. NKJV..""us who are being saved".. let me ask you.. is salvation a continual act ?.. or is the act of salvation accomplished One time.. when we accept the Lord.. are You Not completely saved once and for all?.. or is salvation a process like sanctification?... one more example... why were we created?.. KJV Rev 4:11..tells us..."...for Thou hast created all things, for thy pleasure they are and were created..".. NKJV..."For You created all things..And by Your will they exist and were created.."... WHY WERE WE CREATED?.. sadly the NKJV.. does not tell us why we exist.. hence.. how can we tell others we were created to bring God pleasure.. ?.. WE CAN'T FROM THIS VERSE... I could share with you many other slight changes where the word of God was weakened...if you would like ,.. but isn't even just ONE example enough.. to see the devil at work?...

@makarov138.... and just as a side note look at JOB 4:17.. in translations other than the KJV... if you look at Job 3:17 in the ESV.. NIV.. NASB.. you will see another big difference.. in the meaning gotten from the KJV as opposed to these.. what were Job's freinds thinking about Job?.. that Job thought of himself purer and greater than God.. in the KJV..and NKJV.. in all other translations... Job.. is Not thinking of himself as Greater than but equal to... let me ask you... Which is the worst accusation to be accused of... ?.thinking of himself . being EQUAL to God or thinking of himself to be ABOVE God..?,,
@jeffcarlson32692 жыл бұрын
@makarov138.. I do not wish to discourage you or downplay your time with God.. I want to encourage you,.. I can tell you by my personal experience,.. that my quality of learning about God and drawing closer to him.. has improved exponentially since I switched to the KJV only... I Do use the other translations to see how they relate to what the KJV reads... I correlate the NASB.. ESV.. NIV.. ASV.. RSV... NRSV.. NET.. translations.. as well as the living Bible.. rarely.. once in a great while the MEV.. and the KJVER.... which I would recommend.. if you do Not wish to be a KJV only person.. the KJVER.. is the only bible I have found that updates the KJV.. and DOES NOT change the verses intended meaning.. ..that is if You cannot stick with reading the KJV.. that would be a less drastic alternative... I think about APOLLOS....Acts 18:24..."an eloquent man , and mighty in the scriptures.......vs 26... when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.." I know the KJV is Not without errors.. but I can tell you first hand.. of all the translations.. the KJV is the Most consistent.. (in cross over passages).. in using the same English word in one place of the bible and other places.. for example.. if the word "cry".. was in several places in God's word.. then the Hebrew word.. intended That word to mean..."cry".. and if the word "weep" was in a different place.. then That was the original intent in that place.. the KJV DOES NOT take liberties. by using weep and cry interchangeably.. that is how precise it is.. the other translations Are Not.. due.. to... in many cases the scholars involved in the translations.. do Not have a grasp themselves of what the intended passage should have said... Just food for thought..

If it’s debunked, you shouldn’t be concerned about it. But I could certainly say the other view is debunked also.
