Not sure. I think he wanted to retire, but then changed his mind. This host was Gary Krueger - a former SNL cast member during the Eddie Murphy years. He only did NG for one season.

Maybe you should be on The Price Is Right where you try to get closest to the Price of a Prize without going over to win the Prize & play a Pricing Game to try to win a bigger Prize which could be a Trip or a Car.

That's not fair to lump them into one category like that. Some are brilliant, some just suck, and some aren't right for the show they're hosting. That last point is exemplified here with Gary Kroeger.
