i do feel bad for DA. he was a really good defensive coach and didnt want him to leave. i just thought he was out of his position and should never be a HC. i hope he doesnt hold a grudge against the team and maybe one day come back as a DC.

I think they were desperation when Payton announced he was leaving. Pete didn’t want to do it. Only other option was Dennis Allen.

@@stephenhart1469 they definitely had other options. Several other candidates were interviewed. I would say selecting DA as the HC was taking the easy way out.

Olave’s NFL career will probably be cut very short due to his repeated concussions. After multiple concussions in a short span it has been proven that it is much easier to be subsequently concussed going forward

No one wants to talk about Sean Payton’s involvement in uprooting and leaving the Saints in turmoil. He shied away from leadership and jumped ship. Accountability is not singlular to Allen or any of the players in this case. Saints should have never signed Derek Carr.

Truth is Micky Loomis should be gone as well. The reason the team is bad is layered. 1. Bad Drafts 2. Cap management or lack there of 3. Mediocre coaching

Dennis wasn’t the problem. Seemed he had atop 5 defense, all he needed was a mediocre offense that protected the ball. He had that- until he lost key players permanently and many others for injuries. Sometimes, life’s timing seem to conspire against a thing. But once you’ve had every high probabilities on negative happen, it’s time for an equal and opposite swing in fortunes. WHO DAT!

It's real simple, but with no hard feelings. When the team wins the coach and the quarterback gets all the glory, but when the team loses, certain quarterbacks and coaches are let off the hook until the record shows the reality. You guys may not like him, but Michael Thomas was right. I will feel better if they let Jon Gruden be the head coach and let Dennis Allen go back to full-time defensive coordinator

No way in hell do I want Gruden. He is in a lawsuit with the NFL and Rodger Goodell. The last thing we need is another Head Coach who has beef with the commissioner. Payton was hated by Goodell and well you can guess why the NOLA NO CALL happened.

Now If the Saints were smart! but I know that they are not, They would go after Deon Sander in the off Season for "Head Coach". Why? not only he is a Hall of Famer but he has a winning record two championships with Jackson State only been there 3 Years. 2021 he was 11-2 and 2022 he was 11-1. He knows how to get the Dawgs and put together a solid football team. That would be a good look for the Saints, and you would get Shadeur Sanders and maybe Travis Hunter if the Saints act fast and give a hard pitch. Beleive me the Dawngs will follow. But you guys don't have the foresight to see it. Watch another NFL team gets him and we will be looking stupid, Again.
