Please note one thing.
It is a little tight when you put the motor propeller in the hole and take it out. All you need is a little trick.

I can tell you the Minn Kota 30lb doesn’t fit the cassette of 2019 Hobie I have one. Also, the 55lb Newport is too large as well.

I am getting 4.1mph with 24lbs thrust on the compass. What is your top speed?

The speed will vary depending on the water condition and the weight of the kayak. My speed is about 3.5 to 4 mph in the ocean. Enjoy it safely.

Some people just don't see the easy solutions. I bought the 40lbs thrust minn kota. I'm planning to do the same for my Big fish108 PDL . Absolutely no one should pay $5000 for a kayak or spot lock.

Love my old town with spot lock. What I love even more is when I’m spot locked and hands free fishing a point and catching while some other dude is fiddling with his motor , making micro adjustments every 10 seconds in the wind….

@@chicagoangler That's right. So I only use it when moving points. I think the Spotlock feature would be nice.
