I remember when they were killed,I was discharged that year from the military and the country was upside down with all goings on of war, racism, hatred, and senseless murder.Sad to say it is the same today 53 years later. We need lots of prayers and love to make this world better.

I saw the young lady screaming over the body of her friend amid the smoke and blood. A few weeks later, CSNY recorded and released one of the most powerful songs ever recorded. In 1970 we were so angry. How could this happen right here in America?

Agreed. These knuckleheads who yell "shut up and Play" at Springsteen and Mellencamp, when they play their "enlightened" songs should be ashamed of themselves. I've had to put up with that Lee Greenwood shit for fifty years, so you can park it while David Crosby and Jason Isbell weigh-in for the good guys.

For what, they were weary of Vietnam and the political climate @ that time, the post should be a wake up call because History has a way of repeating itself, ✌ Peace out from East Tn

I’ve been a fan of Crosby for 54 years - ever since the first CSN album. I think I’ve seen him/them every time he/they came to the UK. Like most of us, he was a complex character - I never quite equated how he worked for peace yet loved guns - and I’m sure not an easy person to be in a band with. At 81, he had a decent innings - perhaps longer than his past life was likely to mean. So, like all of us, he’s gone but, unlike most of us, he leaves a legacy that will endure. That, and the love of a family aren’t the worst things to have to pass on with.
