What if Miguel's portal tech is siphoning off energy from an enslaved Spot and that's the basis of the conflict. It would explain why Spot wasn't seen in this trailer. He's imprisoned by Miguel for the bulk of the movie and only becomes an active threat after he escapes or is freed by miles, thus setting him up as the big bag of the sequel.

Is Miles wearing a dimension hopping watch in the trailer because it doesn’t seem like he does. I’m pretty sure the spider that bit him was glitching and hence was from another dimension so when his DNA rearranged to include spider powers, a more passive ability is that his cells do not undergo cellular decay in other dimensions therefore he does not glitch. If villains wanted that ability they would’ve wanted to extract his DNA to eliminate the danger of glitching and Miguel decided to go terminate the source

I think the reason why the spider people r jumping miles it's because they blame him for the super collider and for the other universes almost colliding or they call his universe the trouble universe because of the collider was in his universe, Just like how they r going to blame Wanda and 838 Wanda for almost destroying the multiverse.

I and many others believe that when miles got bit the spider was glitching indicating that it was from another universe which is very different from all the other spider people so Miguel and the rest (minus the spider squad from the first movie) are hunting miles because he was not supposed to get bit or that he’s different which does not collide with the rest of the multiverse so miles could be an imbalance so they are trying to stop him before something happens

I think the reason miles handles the spot different I'd simple. Its why miles has his powers. The spider was glitching so perhaps it was from a different universe and only got their due to spot. Perhaps getting rid of spot would undo the bite thus taking Miles powers away.

No he did use Miguel’s tech. Near the end credits of the first we see gwen Stacy ask “wanna get out of here” while staring at him through a portal in the roof. That portal is the same Miguel used to travel to the 1960s dimension.

Spot definitely has to be Miles' Dad. He wasn't shown in the trailer, they both are related and if you look at the official still, you can kind of see the physical similarities. Lastly, he was present in the final battle of the first movie, that could be how he gets his power.
