I’d guess cast doesn’t mean outcast, but rather a cast as in casting a mold to make a copy. So the strand cast would be making a copy of a mold based on the genetic strands. That’s how I understood it.

I think rise of Skywalker and baby Yoda mutually reveal clues for each story. I think Palpatine is behind this, he's hunting baby Yoda because he knew it had the ability to heal. In Rise of Skywalker he's amazed when he discovers he could pull force abilities from Rey and Ben at to heal much of his mangled body. Meanwhile I think others are hunting baby Yoda to kill it so Palpatine never gets it. Mando is going to be caught in the crossfire of it all. It's a good mystery.

Yeah. The setup for that is all there. But...they know they have the real Baby Yoda, so it loses all the drama, so maybe not. If they still thought the Child was in the pram, it would make more sense as a scene. The way it is now, they might as well just throw the detonator at the bad guys. It would be more effective than putting it in a pram that they know can't have the child in it anyways.

Gene-Strand; a group of clones using one particular strand versus another. While all clones where taken from Jango Fett; it would make sense that you'd want to tweak them so some would be grunts, some would be more leaning towards command and the like. It would make sense given they *didn't* clone a "perfect squad" of different people. (Think of the team in Predator multiplied by thousands)
