exactly! I super disagree with this video's interpretation. Qui-Gon was very connected to the force but he mostly rejected the strict dogma of the order. If he had survived and trained Anakin the whole thing could have been avoided because Anakin would have had someone he could safely confide in without being berated for not following the Jedi Code. In TPM for the brief time they were together Qui-Gon acted as a sort of father figure

@@ScooterinABActually its more of the Council, not the Order in general. Qui Gons views were the views of the peak of the Jedi, he let the force control his actions

One small detail I noticed after watching the film you didn't cover here: a blaster bolt is deflected by Qui-Gon into the thruster of an N1 in the background with specific detail on the explosion. This is the same N1 Ani gets into later (confirmed by framing of the fuel tanks in both scenes) and why his starfighter overheats in battle. N1s have heat sinks along the thruster finials, so these would have been damaged by the deflected blaster bolt.

This video just proved the Phantom Menace is a cinematic masterpiece

Not really. It's more that it proves the movie is watchable. I always enjoyed the movie that wasn't playing when I watched this. Perhaps I was picking up on the Palpatine stuff.

Oh dang, that last detail really got me by surprise. But it also reminded me that they did a similar thing in Star Wars Rebels, showing that a major-key rendition of the Imperial March is the Imperial Anthem. XD
@practicaldeduction68625 жыл бұрын
Phantom Menace is not bad at all. You did miss one reference in the parade scene. The band is playing a major key of the Imperial March.

This is my favourite of all the movies. The more you rewatch it the more exciting this movie gets as you know the end result so you start picking up on all of Palpatines subtle misdirects. Also if you watch 4,5,6 you see how corny their story lines were as well. So people's argument that 1,2,3 are corny is completely ridiculous as that IS star wars

I just remember I was disappointed with all the CGI and how they stepped away from film for straight digital. Also, Maul was such a badass and will always be my favorite visual Star Wars character. Easter egg for X-Men, he plays Toad and does his Maul light-saber pose.
