Back in the early 1990's Mannington Flooring had a vinyl floor line they sold the crap out of for a couple years. One day we are sitting in the showroom of our shop having a couple beers on a Friday afternoon, I look over to the owner and say, you ever notice that vinyl line (pointing to the display) has a swastika in the corner where each square foot block met? He was looking at one of the lighter colors, paused for a second and then said.....naaaa I dont see it. I replied, well, we just installed a crap load of it in a very expensive brand new house and it was very noticeable and then flipped to the black and white color sample.... By Monday morning the whole line was pulled so much so that even material in transit was made to turn around or not be warrantied. What was on the floor already, our install was replaced but they let a lot of it ride. If someone complained, they were immediately replaced at manufactures cost for "other reasons". I was doing a job 10 years later in home that had the vinyl in the kitchen. Told the homeowner the story. The vinyl was replaced at no cost.

Check out the news report on the now demolished Hubert Humphrey Metrodome in MPLS MN. In the very center of the teflon roof where the steel girders intersect there is clearly a swastika shape.
