There's a Pisgah State Forest in SW New Hampshire, so I thought at first this murder was from that area. For many years I lived in NH and family has land and a cabin in woods not that far away from the NH site. Then again my brother's wife is from the Asheville NC area.

It's been 30 years since she was killed and her killer wasn't executed up to this point. The death penalty is supposed to be a deterrent. It isn't. This person will only get out in a pine box. The rate that the executions are carried out, all odds are that he would / will die of old age. It's also cheaper. The "State" doesn't have to cover the costs of all the appeals that take place before someone is executed. Executions should only be carried out if the accused was witnessed to have done the deed. Otherwise, there is always the chance that you're executing an innocent person. Do you want to be that person that was convicted but IS innocent?
