Assuming it's under 3 hours it would be nice if it received a limited theatrical release as did Eight Days A Week and Scorcese's George Harrison documentary. The live performances are bound to end up as a vinyl release when the Blu Ray comes next year or put on streaming à la the Rooftop Concert. Perhaps a rare Summer release so it doesn't step on Rubber Soul?

The Beatles First US visit documentary is great. I have it in DVD and I think it can't get any better than that. Now if that can be improved with AI (improve images, improve sound, remove noise, etc.) And new material is added, then it will be FANTASTIC!

Very happy about the film restoration technique and remixed live music. Since Peter Jackson has been involved with the advanced de-mixing technology, I don’t think we have had a a release of live music that has been this significant. Looking forward to it.

Great news indeed. Looking forward to seeing how much they were able to clean up the filmed footage, and super excited for the de-mixed audio. I agree that a one month subscription to Disney+ is worth the money, but still I want a physical release of this and, Let It Be. Most Beatles fans still want a physical version. At least that’s true for me anyway. Also hoping for the audio of these performances to get released on CD and Vinyl.

I am really hoping that there will be a DVD release of the documentary a physical DVD release with a deluxe set that would be awesome and I would love to see live albums worth of life material not only from the ad Sullivan show but also the audio from the Washington Coliseum concert naked called a box that live from 1964 that would be a good title for the box that is exciting news the only disappointing thing for me is it’s only on streaming I love physical formats I always have and I always well.

I got this on the Beatles’ first US visit dvd, minus the remastering of course. Two hours of footage from them riding limos, hotels, bits of all three ed Sullivan appearances , lots of footage from their washington dc concert, walking thru Central Park and clubbing etc.

This is also what I wish for Andrew. The Butcher USA album with mono/Stereo complete playlist. Again, Remixed, Updated and remastered by Giles. New Liner notes and lots of unseen Beatles Photos from 1966. In case if Capitol is undecided about "Collection of Oldies", perhaps the Yesterday and today is an Alternative so as to say that there will be no gap in the next 2 (Two) years. Honestly this doesn't really get me that excited. This period has been covered so many times before, in the Anthology series and in the "Eight Days a Week" documentary. Also I'm more interested in their later work than in that Beatlemania period. This feels like something we have all seen before, a hundred times, but I hope I'm wrong.

@@AndrewDixonMusic - yep I realise that and I wasn’t suggesting they should spread things around to different channels for different releases, although the law of averages would dictate that at some point, a release would hit one of the channels a fan already subscribes to, but here in the UK, Disney is probably the least popular out of the biggies like Sky, Netflix or Amazon. And the other point I, and I guess others are thinking is "why just tie these things to a streaming channel?" as these are the kind of things fans like to physically own. As there is no news on the Let It Be front, and pre Christmas would have been a good time for such a release, makes me wonder if a physical release is not going to happen and that may be mirrored in this latest film too. I was reading a report the other day that income for Apple has been down in the last 18 months compared to previous years and probably due to lack of interesting releases for fans to buy. And it appears they have put Rubber Soul on the back burner for another year which would have stimulated decent sales and replaced it with the US Album set which is unlikely to have the same kind of appeal. Lots of fans aren’t getting any younger and I’d personally prefer a Rubber Soul deluxe now as opposed to an expensive boxset, and the delay in Rubber Soul is likely to push back any of the other albums that would possibly get the deluxe treatment.

I worked at Maysles for a few years back when Albert was alive and I got to see loads of unreleased Beatles footage and photos. There were file cabinets filled with stuff stuff. Not just Beatles stuff, but Stones as well. I was lucky to have seen all that stuff, but couldn't understand why none of it was released. I don't think Albert cared much about any of that. He was a guy who really didn't live all that much in the past. Anyway, if we get even half of what I got to see back then, I think everyone is in for a big treat.

This is fantastic news, we are truly being spoilt as Beatles fans this year. I do have a feeling, though I may be wrong (and I'm sure a fellow fan will put me right if I am wrong) that Granada TV also sent a crew out to cover The Fabs arrival in the States, so there might be footage of theirs if it exists in this doc. My big question is this. Does this mean that having cleaned up the live audio that we may get a live album sometime down the line? And the release date of 29th Nov, the 23rd anniversary of George's passing, this doc will surely be a great way to celebrate George's life seeing him and his fellow Beatles having a blast in the big Apple. Scorsese and David Tedeschi were also involved in the brilliant Dylan documentary No Direction Home. Tedeschi was the editor and Scorsese the director. Also the case for the George documentary and the Rolling Thunder Revue one. Funny how the roles have changed here. But we are in great hands!

I wonder if there will be a documentary on Ringo's new country album 'Looking Up' ? It arrives in January. it is a T. Bone Burnett production with selected guests. With Burnett, Ringo has got a songwriter, producer, and level of musicianship, that is at least on a level with McCartney. It will be a step forward for Ringo and for all his listeners.

I find it hard to back the Disney empire these days, given their business model revolves around swallowing up classic IP, in order to flog D+ subscriptions, merch and theme parks. While I like the idea of this project (and the upgrades to sound and picture), I think the purity of the Maysles Brothers' film (and the 51 minute making of feature on DVD) will be hard to beat.

Very disappointed that Peter Jackson's Park Road Post are handling the image restoration, they butcher everything they touch. David Tadeschi hasn't directed much, but he was an editor on a lot of Scorsese's music documentaries.

At first when I heard this news I thought, oh not Disney again, which I don't subscribe to, but of course your right 7.99 is a good price for a whole month of this new film, plus the new Let It Be film which I haven't seen. When Get Back was first on Disney they were offering it for 1.99! A bargin as I was able to see the McCartney 123 as well.

Another documentary? Maybe it will be worth it. They need to really turn down the crowd noise for the live performances, because even the remixed Hollywood Bowl had the crowd noise too loud. I rarely listen to it.

One thing Apple Capital EMI and The Beatles themselves need to remix all The Beatles albums with 2024 technology the last time The Beatles catalog was remastered was 2009 with that black box set on cd and vinyl the first was 1987 then we had to wait 2009 now it's 2024 going on 2025 the technology has changed so much since then !!! We need all the albums done sold has individual albums or put all in nice box!!! Like 2009 with nice book! This patchwork remix not the way to do it!!! This is The Bloody Beatles not the Bay City Rollers !!! Box sets are nice but the priority should be remix all 13 albums plus Past Masters all in stereo with Past Masters with a new album cover Maybe some pictures from mad day out on front cover! Also remix all albums in stereo so all the songs and Beatles albums can be streamed on Spotify or any of your favorite streaming services!!! The new remixes 2025 when Apple does it should be our go to mixes!!! The Beatles albums and all the songs need an overhaul!!! The 2009 remastered albums sound Thin and pewny weak sounding! And the 2009 box set on cd The album covers need to be authentic and original!!! This would be very big news if Apple does this very soon This will sell and help The Beatles to stay in the public eye and find young fans!!!
