I remember that day Like it was yesterday. Just married 2 months earlier and just joined Franklin Twp VFD and this sadly had to be my first structure to fight.It was a terrible fire and there was fire all around while we were doing a search for residents who they believed was trapped .The heat and fire was to intense and were told to get out cause another floor we were on was about to collapse.And we heard on the radio we had two of our own trapped.It could have turned out to be worse with more firefighters killed had we not pulled out cause of the second floor collapsing.As for Paul and Ernie they were great brothers who I will.never forget and to this day this all still haunts me.To all of my brothers who fought this fire on a Very Cold snowy and blisstery night in at least 25 below temps we all stuck together.Memory of Paul n Ernie
