the template update is to backup the template, and with this backup you can play the game on another device/googleplay games and transfer the template there, since the template (for some unnecessary reason) is stuck to your device and not to account, this "fixes" the problem. in my case where googleplay games gives me a problem practically every month and I need to uninstall and reinstall it again (and reinstall the game) it helps a lot to not lose the template.

I really liked Baby Jay’s in-depth technical analysis that’s sometimes lacking on this channel. It was reminiscent of one of those hardcore math-centric WOTV videos ReadyPlayerWill puts out from time to time. If only you didn’t constantly interrupt him with boring news right when he was about to finish a theoretical hypothesis….
