If locked in a room, etc. as she described then should have gone to hospital for treatment and rape-kit-DNA and notified the police. You don't just sit on something on that and wait until it is convenient (opportunistic) to use it to extort money and defame the attacker's character at a later date. Anyone too shamed, terrified, and traumatized by something like that to even seek help, doesn't just magically work up the courage to face their attacker -- they'd be seriously triggered -- unless they have had intensive therapy. Where is the documentation for all that therapy that gave her the ability to finally come forward? Even with therapy, they are going to be anxious, jumpy and barely able hold it together at just the THOUGHT of having to face their attacker. They will NEVER fully recover! Not even those who have faced years of ongoing abuse fully recover, heal and emerge unscathed. Improve, yes, after a very long time and difficult road, but life will never be the same or "normal" ever again. PTSD is not a "might" or a "maybe"... it is a given. Shame on anyone who weaponizes the pain and suffering of those women and the lifelong struggle they face! 😡
