אני הכרתי את רוני דרך מוטי אטיאס שלמד איתי בבית הספר אחד העם בתל אביב.אחר הצהריים היינו משחקים כדורגל בחצר בית הספר כך התיידדנו. בשנת 1976 ניגנתי במועדון של אריס סאן בניו יורק.מוצ"ש אחד ירדנו להפסקה פתאום מישהו דופק לי על הכתף ,ואומר לי נהיית כוכב כבר לא מכיר חברים?זה היה רוני קלדרון....צמרמורת. המשפחה שלו היו מגיעים לעתים קרובות למועדון סירוקו של אריס סאן.
