When Tanmay Bhat said that insult comedy was part of our culture, as a Keralite, I really agree to it and it reminds me of art forms like "Chakyarkoothu" where the "Chakyar" or the performer had the complete freedom to ridicule anyone and even make fun of the king! Honestly love it or hate it, comicstaan was revolutionary in a way that it brought so much attention to newer upcoming comics and gave them a platform. Living in Mumbai itself I was not aware about any of these comics and going to comedy clubs wasn't something that a lot of people used to do but because of the show I found so many cool comics that I want to watch and support. So I hope they continue to make more seasons of the show.

Tanmay is true about the insult comedy. In Odisha, Shree Jagannath Temple, after the famous Rath Yatra, there is an exchange of dialogues between Jagannath and Laxmi (in reality 2 groups of priests). Because Jagannath went to his aunt's house with his siblings leaving Laxmi behind, she is furious and wouldn't let them in when they come back.
