It's probably because your culture is so hostile to progressive comedy, that your best comedians leave and go to the US or UK. Look at Kumail Nanjiani, that guy's super funny and had to leave to fulfill his potential. It's a slightly more improved situation in India, mostly thanks to the guys on the table who have quite literally put their necks on the line to make people accept unrestricted comedy.

Also I cannot fathom that shows like big boss, roadies and splitsvilla are allowed to be aired on national television but intelligent shows like Tvf pitchers cannot make it to TV because of few slangs. Or AIB offended which brings out the inherent double standards in us as a society.

But then I have various theories as to how these things work, which might be true or untrue. Point is, I don't think everyone everywhere does one thing, that is balance the ratio, and even if EVERYONE is doing that, one should not presume that until proven.

16:51 I do not quite agree with Biswa and Kanan in terms of writer's block. I believe it does exist. Certainly, to" have to" develop a software and creating a piece of art are not the same. "Have to do" may work for software development but it doesn't really work for a creative piece, for what results out of that "have to" may not even be as satisfying. With all due respect, creativity is not limited to developing comic scripts. Nonetheless, huge fans of both Biswa and Kanan (Biswa a tad bit more). You guys are amazing. Respect your hard work.
