May god continue to bless you with all greatness and please continue to stay humble - that you're. Great qualities you have. Thanks to your wonderful parents. Karthigaichelvan - Sir, you are a good interviewer in the space of politics. But sorry, you should have prepared more for this interview. You don't need to know or learn to play Chess. But most of your questions were just naive, silly and lacked any home-work on your guest. You and your team should have gone through all the details on these two prodigies and our great pride on their lives, career, success, statistics etc. Knowing more about them from just the publicly available information would have helped you ask to questions which would have brought interesting insights about them. You didn't know his age, when they clocked their important titles ! Remember you were interviewing two world champions ! It could have been way better. One could get offended if the interviewer didn't do their job and home-work to ask relevant questions. The lack of knowledge on even the basics of the game of Chess reflects the larger situation in India. How less we know about the game of Chess , our champions ? Its shocking. If this was an interview with ( say ) a cricketer - one would go to the depth of the game, statistics, follow the cricketer on their profession and personal stories. How much we know about our champions and Crown Jewels and how much of effort we have to put in to develop knowledge or interest into those games - Chess, Javenlin Throw, Shooting, Weight lifting, Boxing, Hockey et al. ? India has TON of talent, champions and prodigies - but we as a nation - every citizen owe to such heros - to not just cheer, but support them by recognising and learning those games, their career, successes and struggles and cherish and highlight them all for us all to progress ahead.

Well-written comment. Yes, the interviewer seems totally unprepared and made it cringey. He could have used the opportunity to explain to the viewers a little bit about chess, chess greats from the world, how these two fit in the world context, what chess players generally aspire for, how their day to day would be during and after tournaments, etc.

The science behind Gukesh victory. I know we are all curious. Here is the answer. Lets connect the dots. Indians do well in chess cause India is a 3rd world country and indians are hungry for success. The rest of the world of competing nations are not 3rd world hungry as India. So what happens is you get people from south India who are genetically and mathematically superior in intellect from the north indians and you see this phenomenal rise of south indians in chess mastery especially from the state of Tamil Nadu. You however don't see this among the north indians despite all their efforts . Compared to south , north indians are 2nd ,3rd rated players. And data don't lie. And statistically Tamils dominate the chess scene . The rest of the south are offshoots of the Tamils genetically .South Indians are a distinctly different ethnic race despite the general term Indians. This is quite often forgotten, that south indians and especially the tamils come from an ancient civilization unlike rest of India and Tamil being the oldest language in the world Google . In conclusion india will continue to do well in chess and predominate in the south but we won't see this in the north. We can expect more Gukesh, Pragg and Erigasi in the coming days ! Yes keep your eyes on the south and Chennai the mecca of Indian chess !!!
