the middle class pays 55% direct tax. and they are the spender of 80% which gives govt. 80% indirect taxes. though they are only 35% of the total population. in the last 10 years , bjp has not given a single relief to the back bone of indian economy. thats why 3% middlke class voted less to bjp, though they are hard core bjp voters. Advani ji and Vajpayee ji had worked hard for 30 years to gain this faith. i believe bjp will loose another 10% votes of middle class and even 4 MOdi ji can get them back to vote for them. so be prepared for a back lash in every elections coming in future. i had voted for bjp since 1980, though they were not a grat foirce then. but even when iam willing to vote to the opposite candidate. sure a 880 volt is there in store for bjp for ignoring the back bone of the indian economy.
