Nice one Sage! To me it makes sense that his first and strongest Horsemen were his wife and children. Comics aren't like Manga where you get years of one person's ideas. Comics cool, great and suck over the years because in 30yrs you can get 15 writers adding and taking away whatever. Making characters better or worse. If I can be honest I really didn't care that much for Genesis but she somewhat grew on me. but not too much I like the concept of Apocalypse having a wife. And on top of that she was a mutant so he wasn't alone in the world. I really like that concept that even apocalypse does have a heart. But what I didn't like was changing the backstory and making his wife more stronger than him. I feel it was unfair because of apocalypse's history and how powerful he is the dude can literally grow to like 50 ft tall or 300 ft tall. Due to celestial and mutant abilities in just stomp on America he could literally do that. But no apparently he's the weak one and his wife is stronger than he is. Given the history that we've had with apocalypse.

Part of the current agenda. Women always have to be the strong ones. Even if it doesn't make sense. Makes for some poor writing and characters of late in my opinion. They could explain her powers, show some feats to legitimize her as a threat which used to be the norm in comics but instead they choose to tell you virtually nothing about them only that she is stronger than he is.

@@psycho9815 Also I don't think these guys understand the power of comics and influence. For years women never understood why we watch or read comic, anime or manga and as of recent more are coming around. Alot of that has to do with the MCU and the first 3 phases they had. But also it comes from representation and also making them understand its stories of people who you can relate to in some ways. By making more strong women in comics it's more interesting instead of the trophe of having a girl around but in most cases they are useless and reliant on there male counterparts. Sure they could tone it down a little bit because She-Hulk was a disaster but for the most part it's heading in the right direction and making it so the same women we like are coming around to liking the same shit. It makes the experience of comics that much more enjoyable.

Genesis and Apocalypse would make a for a fantastic story focusing primarily on how they met and maybe even conceiving a child later named Holocaust if they decided to merge both Age Of Apocalypse and Earth 616 realities together. Holocaust character seemed like he could be expanded upon and was one of the standouts of Age Of Apocalypse as a villain feared by many of the characters.

I mean, if you think about it. Apocalypse wouldn't just choose anyone to be his wife judging by his character ha. She was always meant to be strong but if you've read the X of Swords line he says in this video, Apocalypse not only beats her eventually but also is one of the very few to withstand the influence of the golden helm. His wife could not do so. Apocalypse is always in the top bracket of most powerful mutants for sure.
