I never made it to making another body in the body (making a baby) but now that I am almost dying I must say I thank you George Gurdjieff for freeing me for just a few years of my life. Thank you Alan Watts thank you Osho thank you Terrance McKenna. Oh and to be clear about suffering: it is suffering it doesn't matter in what form it comes. Right suffering is suffering for your own health family friends nature and animals. Other ways of suffering is suffering which ultimately leads to a painful and lonely death.

Jacob Needleman has a unique way of bringing to life some of the key ideas of this teaching, from a felt and being sense so that it reverberates inside you in the same way. There is much here to get an inkling from the depth of this teaching, not only through the sheer power of the spiritual tenets expounded upon, but through the heartfelt and embodied presence of this man who has given his entire life to understand, live and transmit this teaching. The piano piece is played to almost perfection.

@@NewSchoolCommonweal Thank the for sharing this. Woke up today and knew something different was going to happen! 02:08:23 And not just the Sun being out for the second time in months! Getting ready to do laundry, up popping a Gurdjieff dance troop i 👁 subscribed to year's and years ago. But haven't heard or seen anything from until this morning. The demonstration was filmed from last year but only posted today! Then up popping this, your post of this lecture! Here you are with the Teachings that i👁 was so dedicated to for so many years. Then 15 years ago found myself out in the middle of the Labyrinth of Life, Like many folk's did at that time! With questions and confusion and an economic crisis caused by greedy investors and banks! Everything fell apart for millions. It was like a global financial Tsunami! Then we faced this Global pandemic and the lockdowns then debated the vaccines! Anyway i 👁 truly learned many deeply brutal and enlightened lessons during these past 15 year's! Have come through, survived stronger, calmer and more forced about everything. Even despite the ongoing Threat of a 3rd World War, or the Ukrainian war to develop into the use of Nuclear weapons! Very troubling! But I stay grounded. Because for me losing everything and everyone, for a period of time, and being out in the wilderness, alone, had a deeply profound effect on me. Really help me see, like truly see and feel everything again, like a child, but differently, to be elevated, and a transformation of Heart, Mind, Spirit and Soul occurred! Being taken down to ones knees and having to stand up alone and walk strong and tall will really open your eyes! So today having my, our, beloved George Gurdjieff, pop up, with his music, his dances and now these lectures, is like having a someone and something that i 👁 truly loved, returning from a long voyage, at exactly the right time! Feeling so blessed! Yes, totally agree, listening to the music, and doing the dance movements are wonderful ways to connect with Gurdjieffs work. The dances are like a moving meditation! Okay, Thank you again. Namaste! Bless your heart and Soul! Sorry if this was too long of a comment. Truly grateful that you have shared these lectures! 🇨🇦🐈

I feel deeply grateful and indebted for your uploading all these conversations with Professor J. Needleman. Here, it is written that this is the fourth conversation, and I have listened only to other two: one titled "Time and the Soul: A Spiritual Biography", uploaded on 2/8/2015, and a second titled "Who Am I? Why Am I Here?", uploaded on 15/12/2015 ; so, obviously, I miss one the four conversations for which, I must confess, I am craving to listen to. I also must confess that, for the last 3-4 months, I can't help watching and listening to these three videos, every day (honestly, every day) almost learning many passages by heart and seeing (amazed) the impact and the influence that this man exerts on my existence. I am yearning to finding the fourth one that I miss... I wish I could meet this wonderful person face to face and live his presence and be taught by him, but it is impossible as thousands of miles separate us. However, I am deeply, deeply grateful to Pr. Needleman and to your channel. I already have bought 3 of his books, translated in greek, and have ordered many other of his books in english from Amazon, looking forward to their arrival to Greece. THANK YOU, from the deepest of my heart, both to NewSchoolCommonweal and Pr. Needleman!!!

Had to chuckle at Jacob's initial difficulty understanding Lord Pentland. I had jumped at the chance of getting a copy of Exchanges Within, consisting of questions and and answers over several decades from the West Coast groups and LP. Imagine my dismay at finding the same puzzling barrier. After some time and much personal reorientation, a small breakthrough appeared and has continued to progress and even broaden. But it also becomes clearer that even when the "how" is known, that only means the work is just beginning. Thanks for the company!

Whoever has listened to the whole series, does he talk about his results from the work? His level of self remembering, utilizing shocks, overcoming sleep and mechanization, crystalizing into man #4 and beyond? Haven't heard anything yet. Gurdjieff was very focused on results. And just as I would get pointing out instructions, in the Buddhist world, from someone who already has achieved a level of awakening and non-duality above mine, I would like to receive Gurdjieff's teachings from someone who has awakened through the fourth way.

True knowledge is very limited in distribution Lots know the façade inside and out, but have no experience with the bends EF and BC in the octave In fact the number of people on the planet that know how octaves work could be as little as 5 or even less Because the experience that teaches is a miracle in of itself I cannot tell you to do what happened to me, because I would not wish that on my worst enemy And the same is with "G" you cant do what he did , to learn But the real teachings are the same everywhere , To become enlightened about oneself to remember our lives in its entirety You have to relax and that means giving up all associations with the left PFC But as "G" mentions in "Search for the miraculous" there is another way that's a lot faster , but the results can be incorrect if correct teachings are not given

Hi Sir. Is he awake? Intermediate awakening is possible for everyone. But the great awakening is for few. It is true that the flow of thoughts does not stop. And the man in his ordinary state of attention is incapable of noticing and getting rid of it. Deluded, he lives under the belief that he is master of himself - mere illusion. He doesn't realize he's just a machine reacting physically, emotionally and cognitively to the world around him. Absorbed by passions, urged and sustained in turn by the ceaseless activity of the thinking, he follows his life asleep - infinitely distant from God and at the same time one step away from Him.

What I learned from G work: The moment a particle is a wave; it has to be a conscious wave! Gravity is the conscious attraction among waves to create the illusion of particles, and our experience-able Universe. Max Planck states: "Consciousness is fundamental and matter is derived from Consciousness". Life is the Infinite Consciousness, experiencing the Infinite Possibilities, Infinitely. We are "It", experiencing our infinite possibilities in our finite moment. Our job is to make it interesting!

Psychological suffering is usually an ego attachment problem, one of self identity , attachment to the pleasure principle causing addiction. To be of serve to humanity in a small or large way, depending on your talents and abilities is hitting the bulls eye; we can experience happiness that is long lasting and unconditional through serve to others.

Why imagine that the *source* of love - or intelligence for that matter, can be found in men(human beings)? If it be right that that source lies *within* them, perhaps that is why they experience little but peace, prosperity, harmony, understanding and dancing through rainbows of laughing joy, and never die like dogs. If the source lies without them, then what? Are within and without different?

I read quite a bit of Gudjeiffs and Ouspenskys works. Much of it had merit but then it became so far out I just had to let it go. Some of the tenets I still adhere to. First we have to agree on what is music lol?

We have to allow more space in our minds. In that space, we will observe more, learn and stay in peace. Simply staying in that state is a natural being for many Masters. They bear the fear inside and can control many other psychological troubles. Because they know identifying with the mind is a 'hell' state in this world.

These men are making Gurdjieffs ideas and works far more complex than it needs to be, Gurdjieff said clearly most people do not want to wake up and or basically just lazy and simply refuse to think. We see this everywhere we look today as well, so he simply pointed out simple truths of human behavior and commonality of their own forms of insanity accepted as the norm. Human being not doing

Actually I found this discussion the opposite of complex. It was a deep, thoughtful and reflective discussion delving into the core principles of what Gurgjieff taught.

What is awakening ? Snd the answer is not some absolute or relative mastery over the machine and its reactive emotions. Answer is do you know what second conscious shock is and what the consequences of the successful transition is, if not one has not understood the work. This is what gurdjieff says thru ouspemdky as the juncture where “real” work begins

fynes leigh thank you… She is patient just as we are hers, recuperating amidst this sickness we have fostered on her forever giving… There is truth in blue and green, with ears upon every solemn being, awaiting in our action, an utterance that rings to permeate the universal, as our apologetic divine No one can do this alone, this work requires help from each other, from others… we needn’t experience that ominous shock known to us all as existent, at the terminus of this chosen trajectory, connecting with emptiness to be get a sense of the full? When in releasing the need for possession, do we realise what fullness we are a part of

fynes leigh perhaps, perhaps we are just living in the dream of a handful of people who wanted the world to go at certain way, for their dreams to be for field…… Before action and construction, there must always be a dream.

If you want to understand what he means you should read what Gurdjieff wrote about sleep and energy in "Views from the real world". Also you repeating why is it so bad why is it so bad like a mongoloid isn't helping you get further understanding unless you try and answer your questions.

Why is humanity aspleep, according to Gurdjieff. Do we have a defect? If we have lost our way why did we lose our way given other creatures on this planet appear to just get on with it without question? Or is there something sinister afoot which has caused this problem for humans?

I understand the compassion that arises when seeing another struggling in life. But I don’t believe suffering is a necessary ingredient in this process of unfolding Being. That’s a misunderstanding in both the East and especially the West.
