I’m aware of his career outside of music, but I was not aware of his environmental work. He’s amazing and speaks with both knowledge and passion.

Thank you feargal. Rivers, wildlife and woodlands bring so much joy and simplistic happiness to the majority. Ambient and therapeutic. It’s not just this sector it’s EVERY sector. We are paying obscene rates for companies to stay on the shoulder of the law. They have zero desire to make things sustainable for future generations. It’s all about creaming as much money as they can whilst they can. Onto the next one. This culture has become to powerful. They answer to no one and pay peanuts in fines. These bosses should be paid performance salaries and bonuses that get reviewed by an independent board of inspectors. Let’s see how hard they fffffg work then to do the right thing!!!! Sick of the lot of them greedy fat cats.

A lot of Etsonians in the countryside have their own wells as we do in Finland. The population of Estonia is only 1 million. UK is 60 Million. Fergal is right on everything. But we have to remember that the UK is a heavily populated tiny island. 20 million people in London, that is 4 x the population of Finland ( roughly) in one tiny area. That is a lot in one place.

I am no Green, But polluting rivers to cut corners & make more money for fat cats is despicable, Fine those charged with the upkeep of rivers the equivalent of salaries & bonuses..

Just for interest, the bragging Secretary of State for Environment in 2015 that Feargal refers to was..... drum roll.... Liz Truss. Who else.

I used to sing in a band called breathe as fergal did with the undertones. His solo song a good heart i. Loved. Needless to say my career solo was not as successful as his. All this aside he is an inspiration since his passion for this enviromental issue supercedes in iimportance in my opinion any talk of music. I deeply respect this man. Bless him. And may his music succed in future

In the plastic disposable world we inhabit the effects of misuse gives immediate impact, solutions are harder to find, but need to be identified first. Then lasting solution developed and enacted, time is not on our side when necessity of all life is threatened. Almost done with the petroleum wars, next up is land & water distribution.

England should look to Scotland for inspiration regarding how to look after rivers . The snp might be rubbish right now but at least they respect our beautiful country.

Compost toilets are brilliant and they make the soil better too. Theres no smell or germs. If I had my own garden I would set one up that can be moved around to fertilse different areas. A good heart ISNT hard to find. You just look inside and stop following the crowd. If you stand up for what is right, because we are in a democracy..once enough voices request something it will begin to be developed. But if we are silent or just full of scorn it wont work. Our sugestions need to be positive ideas...building solutions not just throwing rotten eggs.

Water supply is a natural monopoly, so it should be only in state hands. A monopoly is a license to rort/print money. Economics 101. Not even that. Junior high school economics.
