Well done Fergal for standing up to the authorities on this matter. The rivers and lakes in UK and Ireland are being used as sewers . Whenever the water authorities are confronted with the facts then their answer is always the same “ we are working and investigating in cleaning up these issues”……I’ve been listening to this for 40yrs

@PrivateSi Жыл бұрын
@@margaretbuckley9309 .. Our rivers and beaches are nowhere near as bad as they were under socialised water, where the authorities both regulated and ran the show. We need a return to the early days of privitisation before Neo Labour and Fake-Green, woke Tories messed up all our priorities and crime-fighting expenditure while, like Neo Labour, stealthily transferring wealth from the poor and middle class to Big Business and useless / wasteful fake-green start-ups.

In 60s on my surfboard and saw a 'stool' float past me. In the 90s people where getting sick from sewage in the sea ( Surfers Against Sewage was formed). Now it's still contamination of the sea. Meanwhile the CEOs the Shareholders are making money.

Its absolutely disgusting what Feargal is talking about, and I don't doubt him - not for a second. Feargal was always a nice, likeable guy and I don't really see any change where he's concerned but I do believe the levels of things like human contraceptives, wet wipes and human sewage floating in our rivers. And its true there are agencies whose jobs it is to monitor and to keep the rivers from getting like that but like residents on the South Coast of England have testified if you want anything done properly then you are best off doing it yourself because these government agencies are nothing more than a joke. Scandalously incompetent and no real interest or powers whatsoever.

Left untreated, cholera can be fatal within hours, even in previously healthy people. Modern sewage and water treatment have virtually eliminated cholera in industrialized countries. But cholera still exists in Africa, Southeast Asia and Haiti. What is cholera? Cholera is an acute, diarrheal illness caused by infection of the intestine with the toxigenic bacterium Vibrio cholerae serogroup O1 or O139. An estimated 1.3 to 4 million people around the world get cholera each year and 21,000 to 143,000 people die from it.
