I worked at India Today for a little over a year, and during my time there, I had a rather eye-opening experience with the newsroom dynamics. I vividly remember the first time I saw Rajdeep Sardesai in the elevator..to me he was a celebrity and I was genuinely in awe. However, what struck me as odd was the atmosphere surrounding him. He walked in alone unnoticed, nobody approached him. He seemed isolated in what should have been his domain. He came, he stood, and then he left..almost unnoticed. This detachment wasn’t limited to him. The newsroom was dotted with several high-profile anchors and "celebrity journalists" whose faces were synonymous with the channel's brand. Yet, the reality of their presence was underwhelming. Despite their polished on-screen personas and the perception of influence, they didn’t command the kind of attention or respect one might expect in person. They sat at their desks, surrounded by the buzz of the newsroom, but seemed disconnected from the broader team. It felt like there was a divide between the "stars" and everyone else, and the stars weren't shining as brightly off-camera as they did on it.

You are dead right! They seem to trot out their awareness of youth unemployment catastrophe and and the worsening of the situation of the disempowered when there is a speech prepared for the public and then nothing. This has gone on for too long ...too long. I often get the impression that there is little little knowledge amongst the MP's about the rules of conduct in parliament and what is expected from them - what they have been "hired" by the public to do - do they even know how to get things done? Meanwhile people are dying because of their lack of "due diligence" - they are supposed to manage things not neglect them. If they were working for private industry they would have been sacked long ago.
