Newsmakers with Moses Tanui

Samuel Kamau Wanjiru is a man who will posthumously be remembered for his rare talent that catapulted him to not only fame and fortune, but also a tragic end. A man who made news both in life and death and whose life and career we look at through the eyes of an older athlete. In our weekly newsmakers segment, Citizen TV's Evelyn Wambui travelled to Eldoret and spoke to veteran athlete Moses Tanui on his journey to success in the 1980s and early 1990s and his advice to younger athletes on the price of sudden fame and fortune.

Hope these athletes could marry fellow athletes to push atletics to higher levels; such rare fast genes shouldn't be wasted by contaminating with slow ones. It's common to encounter siblings athletes but rarely do you find their kids excelling in same sport.
