The EPA's job is to test, raise concerns, and propose regulations. Imposing regulations and sanctions is congress' job. I think that there's misplaced blame here. Does anyone remember how long it took to ban the use of DDT after the EPA sounded the alarm that it was a carcinogen? And corporate farmers did most of the lobbying against it. Then the same farmers insisted on using Roundup in their fields, even though the EPA warned against it. Now it's banned for causing cancer. Project 2025 calls for abolishing the EPA altogether. Because of the regulations the propose on industry. Don't demonized the EPA. Take a look in the mirror, and remember who you cast votes for. We don't want cancer causing chemicals, but we don't want regulations on our industries. Go to farmers markets and buy your products from small organic farmers. Thats the connective tissue between grey matter that links all parts of the brain in together. Thats what makes us able to think, conclude and do. I think classic Autism may be from white matter destriction from radiation exposure. PFAS and mercury also causes epinephrine to build up in the brain. PFAS is strongly linked to ADHD in children exposed. Lead is also linked to ADD and ADHD but probably ADHD when theres epinephrine buildup from PFAS or Mercury along with brain damage from lead. Lead slows brainwave activity, inhibits mitochondrial formation of ATP also. and causes blockages in brain wave activity by causing open sores and scarring in the brain- called "Lesions". Epinephrine from PFAS and Mercury speeds up brainwave activity. PFAS also slows energy production and builds up in the brain and brain stem over time. It causes inflammation everywhere it builds up. It inhibits the immune system by reducing T- cells and other immune components. Then causes deadly cytokine storms in response to diseases like Covid. Each PFAS is slightly different in its exact toxicological signature. There is also a difference in outcome depending on when the exposure occurs. There is also epigenitic damage to the outside of DNA thats inheritable. In mice tested, the fourth generation down from exposure was the most effected. In children heavily exposed ,over thirty necessary enzymes were found epigenitically disrupted. Just one of those I studied, STRA6 transports vitamin A that orchestrates development in the womb. Eye and heart problems are found in children with low STRA6. Fourty percent of children now have vision problems! Lab rats used in testing for PFAS effects dont show damage to eyes from PFAS inhibiting STRA6 because their eyes develop after birth from vitamin A in mothers milk. Cows and children in Parkersburg WV showed increased eye and vision problems, like key hole eyes and corneal opacities. 113 hormones were found disrupted by PFOA in another study. That was the most by far of any other hormone disrupting chemicals including BPA and Pthalates. PFAS is extremely bad for us. Were just now seeing the first F4 generations from the earliest exposures in the 1940's and 1950's. Nuclear and factory workers were among the first exposed. Because its used in high radiation situations, the Three Mile Island disaster may have released PFAS along with the radioactive steam. Because PFAS absorbs through skin, children who wore treated fabric permanent pressed school uniforms may be an early group to show health effects, then their children- then grand children, then great grand children. F4 is their great great grand children. Unlike the mice in the studies which had one exposure event period of time, we've had continuous exposures. Decreased STRA6 is also linked to toxic abortion-Miscarriage. Children born can also die suddenly after birth. PFAS inhibits hormones that orchestrate development and sexuality development. PFAS also carries heavy metals like lead and mercury and attaches to the outside of DNA. That could cause a sudden unforseen effect after exposure to a vaccination with thimerosal a form of mercury in it. Chemicals together have synnergistic effects that can greatly increase the bad effects. One mixture of two toxins was found to be 3000 times more toxic than either alone. PFAS causes dyslipidemias or fat metabolism issues. You know your PFAS levels are high when you see high cholesterol or fatty liver disease. 30% of Americans now have non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Thats one of the dyslipidemias that are the earliest symptoms to show from PFAS poisoning. Cytokine storms in response to diseases like Covid are another symptom. Allergies and other inflammatory reactions are another. Metabolic syndrome, diabetes, obesity, NAFLD are linked to PFAS inhibiting PPAR enzymes. When fats cant get burned they start building up everywhere. You can be fat but your body is starving for necessary to life fats. PFAS makes you unable to break them down or burn them to make energy. Keto diets use a different pathway in the mitochondria that dosent use PPAR and burns muscle tissue rather than fats and sugars. That pathway is meant to be a last resort starvation energy pathway. The fact that people feel extremely better on a paleo diet kind of shows how inhibited our normal metabolic processes are from toxins like PFAS.

I'm grateful for what Brendan has done. There does need to be governmental accountability. I don't want to hear 💩 talk about strangers fast food, or whatever, diets of strangers. I was just informed over the weekend about the PFA's in my Maine tap water!!! Now I have to buy a frickin suitable filter for my kitchen sink. Me. (On disability) Not the people I rent from. There are PFA's in the majority of everything we eat & drink. From fast foods we love to the "organic" foods grown in contaminated soil, and even the water we drink. Btw, I think it's about time our government ensure everyone receives ways to filter our water. Kits to ck our water frequently. And force bottled water companies to ensure that their water is free of contaminates at all times.

30 years ago the State of Maine encouraged farmers to spread sewer plant sludge on fields, especially hay fields as well as crops for feed and human consumption. Now there are large hot spots all over Maine, and a warning for deer hunters not to eat their fall harvest in those areas. Someone should be in jail.

Genetically engineered crops for phytoremediation and bioremediation. So the crops can uptake the pollutants into the food supply for the masses to eat. The farmers are free to destroy the crops or sell it for biofuel or human consumption. Which one do you think pays the most. The farmers loved the cash crops but now they are paying the price. Funny how that works.

Protecting our food supply should be the MINIMUM standard of governmental regulations. The cost should not fall to farmers to clean up after corporations whose greed created the problem. Environmental factors affect us all. People first!

The Romans poisoned themselves with lead, our society knowingly poisons itself with plastic and so much more. It is crazy, but people would rather conform than face an existential threat like the poisons that riddle everything in our society. People would have to admit they love money and conformity more than their children, and they don't want to do that.

@J.o.e_K3 күн бұрын
@@christiekoch4350 I know why you are stating that. All the beneficial microbes and what not. However there's an equal argument that cooked anything makes nutrition more bioavailable to our bodies. Example: Lycopene in tomatoes only becomes available upon cooking. The list goes on. The discovery of fire and then using it to cook meat is what separates us from all beast. It's when we took off on the evolutionary scale. If you cook for an animal, they will live longer than if they ate raw but mostly because of a pathogen taking them out thanks to raw. Got our dog to 18, no cysts, no cancer, no viceral fat, no meds, no neurological issues. 🙏🏽 Humans should stick to fermentation and cooked. Raw not worth it. Did raw eggs off and on in my bodybuilding days. Food poisoning 3 times. The last one thought I was done.
