Whilst you are flying a drone they should not interrupt you and create a danger, in fact the Sgt should know that he is committing an offence by stopping you in charge of an unmanned aircraft. The Sgt is so used to ordering constables about that he thinks he can do the same to innocent law-abiding citizens.

NNY, you forgot one vital element with flying a drone and you should have told them that distracting a drone pilot whilst in operation should be avoided at all costs and they the Po Lice could be held accountable. They know the laws, that's why they took so long to come out and speak to you, all they wanted was to try and criminalise in some way. Next time you have an encounter with the Po Lice tell them that you will only speak to ranking officer and them alone with no interference from any other. Great Audit.

They create danger by taking the attention away from the drone pilot. If because of the interruption the operator loses control of the drone and crashes into someone or something and causes damage or injury the person interrupting is liable.
