Newsom Rides in Self Driving, Floating Hybrid Car in China

Governor Gavin Newsom tried out the latest vehicle by Chinese automaker BYD.
It floats and drives itself!
He was in Shenzen to check out BYD's all-electric bus fleet in the region, something they are working towards in Lancaster.
BYD is a company he's had a long standing relationship with, including a controversial $1 billion deal for masks during the height of the pandemic.

BYD EV has a better safety record than Tesla. however their hybird has been less successful given the complexity of having both ICE and electric drive system.

This is a knockoff of Landrover😢. The warranty states maximum time in water 20 minutes and vehicle MUST Immediately be returned to factory for service. It is ment to servive a flood in a emergency.
