My wife worked for CVS in Fremont. She tried to confront a shoplifter, got pushed in the process. She went after the perpetrator and took a picture of their car. Guess what, instead of thanking my wife for her troubles, CVS turned around and reprimanded my wife for ‘leaving the store premises’ when she took a picture of the perpetrator’s car. She got a write up for it. It disturbed her so much, she ended up quitting. This incident for me sums up what is wrong in California. We have become so blind and stupid that the real criminals walk and the innocent gets booted instead. A lot if it I think is because of stupid woke policies. If we just go back to common sense..

Why did Newsome want to speak to the store manager? I will bet that he would be told that store policy is for employees to stand back in that situation. In many stores across the country, an employee attempting to restrain a shop lifter would be fired. This is because the alleged shoplifters can often successfully bring a suit against the store or employee...that is the sad fact of today's legal system.

Cops DO arrest people for petty theft, but the local DAs drop charges. Every DA in America is obligated by federal law to release law-enforcement related statistics in their district. The Sacramento DA is no different, and they release their data quarterly. The Sacramento DA's website makes it pretty difficult to find the data, but it's there. They had 16 convictions for petty theft the entirety of 2023. That paints a very vivid picture of how serious the governor is with prosecuting theft....

Ya less reported crime because criminals know the thresholds so they don't surpass that number. Newsom is a total tool. Instead of making the punishment for this type of crime more severe he gives them a slap on the wrist. These crimes ruin communities and lead to a rise in prices for consumers who are paying customers. It's just wrong all the way around.

Not really. We vote Republican but this state still sucks because of the way other people vote. That's why so many Californians move. I'm surrounded by Republicans believe it or not yet nothing changes. Why do you think so many of us move to red states? Not true...the alternative was this awful rage-baiting conservative radio host who has said the most insane things...we had no real alternative, or Gavin would've lost.
