Rare Breeds

One of the first cattle breeds to arrive on Australian shores has now been listed on an international rare-foods register. The once popular dairy shorthorn has fallen out of favour here and in its home country of England. As Kerry Staight reports, it's hoped the listing and growing concerns about food security will save the dual purpose animal and other rare breeds from extinction.
