In fact, it's more appropriate to say most of South India is like a huge silicon corridor. It was true, earlier, when Bengaluru was indeed referred to as 'the' silicon valley of India. But, that was because of the headstart it had over other cities. With the passage of time, Bengaluru's numero uno status has been watered down a bit. With 300 software companies, Hyderabad is also a major IT hub. However, Bengaluru is at the top, but I'm not sure for how long. Things do get saturated in the long run and market forces can sway major decisions.
