I am from Karnataka, Mysore Zoo is one of the best Zoos in India, Nowadays most of the Birds & Animals are sponsored by either well-known individuals or Corporate/Private companies. Also, the Zoo management is top-notch. If you decide to cover by walk you fell tired once you finish the entire premises during the hot sun, other options like battery-powered cars & small buses are also available. The entrance of the Zoo is very good.

Am from Mysuru. Paradise on Earth. Zoo is 4kms from my place of stay. My friend, an avid animal lover, was holding a high post in the Zoo administration. Once he took me around, explaining even the most minute details of every bird and animal. It was fantastic. The most amazing part of that experience was that every bird and animal responded to his call. A few of them even emulated the noise and sound he made. Even tigers and lions obeyed his orders. The animals loved him as much as he loved them. I still remember his words that zoos are not places of entertainment, rather a place to study about nature and its beauty. He remained a bachelor, because he trusted animals more than human beings. He would spend most of his time inside the zoo He was 60+ when I met him 10 years back.. I saw him a few times, in his traditional white kurta pyjama and canvas shoes walking briskly from home to zoo, and back, as is his routine. I couldn't speak, as I was travelling by bus. Hope he is hale and healthy.

Mysuru zoo is very good and I have visited it. The Chennai zoo at Vandalur is much bigger and has a bigger collection of animals too. Injured animals, man eater tigers are sent to Mysuru as it has good medical facilities. Recently a man eater tiger with injuries was caught in the Nilgiris Tamil Nadu and sent to Mysuru where it was treated and became normal. Great people.

What a wonderful zoo. Congrats to all the people who maintain it with so much of dedication, especially those who care for the animals and who clean them and maintain their pens. Great Long ago I came to Mysore zoo only to see the King Cobra. I saw a pile of coils, but I could not see the head or the tail. Many years later I saw the King Cobra. It was only three feet from me and stood above my head. It was a terrifying moment. I saw two of them. Great video.

Very well organized Zoo…similar to standards of Singapore Zoo but on a smaller scale. Meiney Bear ka tamaasha dekha par kabhi bear ko kissi ko khatey nahi dekha….ek to Iman ney suna bauhaat kuch hei life mei….lol…lol. Kheytoh mei snakes nahi urdd tey parindey urdd tey hei…lol…
