Newton, North Carolina Town filled with cool shops and amazing architecture.

Newton was established in 1845 and incorporated in 1855. It was named for Isaac Newton Wilson, a state legislator who had introduced the bill creating Catawba County.

hwy 16 is much faster now they widening the road and at the intersection of hwy 16 and mount Holly Huntersville road is the first intersection design of its kind in the Carolinas also they filmed supper troopers on hwy 16 at mountain island lake area

Great town I hope alot of these places come back . But Walmart etc is destroying them . Here in the UK lot of ours are hit badly but not has much has there . That is a awesome collecting store .

Yeah, I just had a 93 year old friend die couple Year's ago, he seen a lot as a boy growing up in Newton. Justice system is all to 🔥, if You follow the d.a.'s name's in the newspaper's from the pass up to the present and You search real hard, You will find out why they understand the way's and, motives of the real crooks I would guess almost 100% of them made victim's out of the citizen's that actually voted them into office, from obstruction of justice to victimizing the elderly, to yes even driving drunk and sexually harassing the assistant d.a.'s. I actually no and elderly couple who were victim's of one of the last 5 pusecutor's who reigned over Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties. It is my opinion that this last one is most definitely running a two tier justice system.I can actually prove it but, that would for me at least be like trying to convict hunter, just read the Hickory Daily Record or Charlotte Observer, You will find out who his true friends are.
