Ive lived in Alexander county my whole life. The town of Taylorsville used to be booming until Walmart came in.

I hate that. The big chains come in and crush the mom and pop stores. Thanks for sharing

@@TimothyFrench you're welcome. Thank you for making the video. I found your channel yesterday. I have enjoyed watching. Wal mart definitely made a big impact on our small businesses. We have filled several of the empty places in the past year. If you search Taylorsville nc a video should come up by Ruth rusty I think. You can see how busy downtown used to be.

Just a little suggestion. When I watch KZbin town walkthroughs it’s because I truly want to know about the town. Maybe you should do a walkthrough before you switch on the camera and ask some questions to the townspeople about the thing you don’t know and stop asking questions and instead give the answers! When you did the walkthrough my home town all you did was wonder things were and why they were like they were. I wanted to scream the simple answers to you! Had you just asked anyone on the street about those things either on or off camera your walkthrough would have been so much enjoyable and even informative. If you’re going to do this, educate yourself a little and know something about the town and it’s History before you switch on that camera! We can ride through these towns and wonder about things ourselves. Research a little and be informative!
