Hello po engineer bakit yung iba po -k ang gamit? Nagiiba po kasi ang answer Sinusubukan ko po kasi sagutan ito A body at a temperature of 40ºC is kept in a surrounding of constant temperature of 20ºC. It is observed that its temperature falls to 35ºC in 10 minutes. Find how much more time will it take for the body to attain a temperature of 30ºC. Using the formula dito sa video, 24mins po kasi nakukuha ko pero ang sagot sa internet ay 14mins Ano po ba ang tamang formula -kt or kt lang? Salamat po engineer!

maybe I'm late to this question (also this question is not for me😁) but as far as I know (char lang), in Newton's law of Cooling, it is not necessary to put a negative sign on the "k", but you need to understand that it the "k" will be a negative number if an object is cooling, and the k will be positive when the object is being heated.. Just analyze the problem if the object is being cooled or heated.😁

This is the solution to the rate DE equation so you can use this formula in computing the temperature.

Sir, why does the exponent of the 'e' ain't negative? Sorry to say but i doubt with the positive exponent, 'cause I've already solved some problems like that wherein I used negative exponent and I got it right

Using negative or positive, will yield to same result if you carefully solve the problem with properties of logarithm. Some books prefer with negative and some not.

Halos lahat naman ng DE ng engineering ay same lang. So I would say they have same topics. Of course, there can be many examples in relation to newton's law of cooling, but in the video I've given only basic examples :)
