Dear Mr.Panchagnula, first of all many thanks for your lecture on Newton law's of motion. I am just wondering why there were no conceptual physics words used in your lecture, like "inertia" and "acceleration"? As for the most beginners, whenever newton law's were discussed, they assume that 1st law tells about inertia and second law tells about acceleration. Was there any particular reason not to use/frame these two concepts in this particular lecture ? Also we define momentum, p = mv but the rate of change in momentum defines us the force i.e f = dp/dt and if the force(impulse) is dependent on time (delta't') then f = m(dv/dt) i.e f = ma where m = mass and a = acceleration (dx^2/dt^2). I think this was missing while explaining the second law (since most of the mechanics students and engineers knows that f = ma ) . Please excuse me if I am mistaken here anything. These are just my views on the first lecture and I am glad to have this online course to refresh my mechanics basics. Thanks and BR Krishna
