Kristi, I've watched you for years and enjoy most everything you share. You've mentioned that you share cards with elderly homes often. Do you write the same thing in each card? Would you share some ideas to write in cards for that group of people?

Thank you so much for the kindness and continued support! 💖 Yes, I will write the same message inside all of the cards for each occasion or season. Valentines is different from Independence Day. When I'm dropping off up to 90 cards a month, I can't think of different things to write. If you're on Instagram, I have a bunch of card messages saved as highlights on my page. @bestthingsinlifearepink I also plan on doing a blog post this year sharing the different messages I add inside the cards.

Thank you so much! 💖 For my 6x6 paper pad videos, I do zoom out more. I need enough space to work while disappearing the paper pad. It's the same setting every time though. It may just look zoomed out more since most of my videos are close up.

I love how you made so many cards from one paper pad. QUESTION: When you donate your cards, do you put them in envelopes or do you just hand them to the from desk and they hand them out or do you hand them out to the residence there? I love this idea.

Thank you so much! I do include envelopes and usually stamp an image on the front. The cards are happy mail for the residents so I write a message inside every card. I give the cards to the coordinator at the home and they pass out the cards to the residents.

I see and I'm learning how to do the top of the card but what do you use for the actual card? Do you cut your own cardstock to fit the top of the card?

I have asked this several times in other videos and have not gotten an answer. When you cut out one of the paper pieces that goes on the card and you match that piece, are you cutting the mat out in the size on the sketch and then cutting the design a little smaller? Or are you cutting the design paper to the specs on the sketch and making the mat a little bigger?

Hello! I generally cut the patterned paper at the measurements listed on the sketch. Then I add 1/8" for the cardstock layer. If I want a wider layer, I'll add 1/4". Sometimes, I will modify the paper pieces and don't follow the sketch measurements exactly.

@@KristieMarcotte thank you for taking time to answer this. I have downloaded some of the sketches you mention and for some reason, the measurements are not correct. I even double check my measuring. It seems like on some of them there isn't space for even a 1/8th" extra.
