Wow. I wasn’t expecting to cry this morning but here I am! Bawling my eyes out! Friendship, doing HARD things, community, the beauty of nature! I’m so inspired and in love. Thank you for telling this story.

Wow! Was watching this documentary in the comfort of my warm apartment, and it truly shook me to the core unexpectedly! I have outmost admiration for these courageous women, and most of all a deep sense of gratitude. Talking about pushing REALITY videos to the next level... Wow. Beautiful.

Wow. This is so moving. I recently read the book Wintering and author Katherine May's exploration of the mental health benefits of cold-water swimming. I think there really is something to it. Also, I used to live in Chicago and remember when the ice would pile up like they showed here. I miss that.

I am so fortunate to have made the acquaintance of a place to swim in Chicago, Pebble Beach. And the friends that I have made there. Yes I am on my way to being one of those Polar Bears. I dipped on November 15 when it was 55° outside! Not certain when I will get in again, however, I am looking forward to it! 💙🧜🏽♀️🤗♾️🙌🏽🪷💜💚

Makes me wonder about rolling in snow in a bathing suit, as an alternative, since I am definitely not going to get in the Ohio River. I have a few friends I could invite to my back yard for that.

I did this once chipping away ice to do a plunge I lasted one minute in the exact same place 30 degree water temps pretty intense. I had a Russian guy there with an axe already there chipping away a hole. I was glad he was there to be around because it felt pretty dangerous. Prefer my Hawaii life though but cold water is pretty intense….all about the breathe. 🙏🏾 Props to them they hardcore dedicated over there.
