Hello everyone, I’m Ömer Sami, the director of “Eternal Father,” a short documentary about how a father’s attempt to defy death via cryonic preservation affects his family’s lives. I wanted to challenge the way we think about death and what it truly means to be alive and reflect on how we all deal with the prospect of our mortality. I’m here to answer your questions over the next few days. Thank you for watching.

Why in the documentary is Nasar observing the process of other bodies being preserved? Is this a requirement for consenting to the procedure (to understand fully what you’re getting yourself into), was this out of his own curiosity, or did you ask him to witness the process for the documentary. Thank you very much, wonderful film :)

A close friend of mine & an ex-girlfriend are both cryopreserved at the Alcor Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Interesting! Nasar has chosen the alternative provider, Cryonics Institute in Michigan.

Hello everyone, I can see that some people are misinterpreting what he is trying to achive. The life insurance will cover the cost of the cryonics process when he dies of natural causes; he will not be inflicting self harm to achive premature death, he will live his life until he dies of natural causes. I hope this clears up any misunderstandings anyone has.

Cryonics absolutely makes more sense than not. It is a purely logical pascals wager. Virtually nothing to lose and everything to gain. I really don't understand the struggle with ir. Even those against it can not articulate why they are against it. That's why I signed up for the cryonics institute as well.

Unless there’s an afterlife and you can never cross over because you’re still tethered to and invested to a dead body that can’t decay.

No, he's not. It's strictly a last resort.

@@FSG_4if he dies at 90 in a worn put body, who would want that revived? And if he dies young because of a disease then his body still won’t be in any kind of optimal condition. We need to get back to our grandparents’ very healthy attitude to life and death. Death is as natural as being born, it’s a part of life and it’s psychologically healthy to accept this. Freezing your dead body, injecting your face full of botox and fillers, chowing down on supplements, won’t stop the inevitable.

None of these frozen dead bodies are coming back in the future 😅lol

It's a little presumptive to speak as if you know the future without a time machine. Remember the same arguments were made against organ transplant operations...until they actually worked
