Aye. The poor quality of music teachers across the board blew me away. When I was a teen I assumed they were more or less teaching the same thing in the same way ... but NO. Not even close. Very few teachers in the world are worth listening to at all.

Another awesome video.... I have a little problem with the ah (F#) halfway through the chorus in She’s Always a woman by Billy Joel even though I can sing comfortably higher in many other songs...I’ll keep experimenting with this break trying to keep relaxed but use the compression you talk about ... once I overcome this the song is gonna sound great ...the piano already does .... I can already sing it but I want it as natural sounding as possible ... your videos have kept me positive and hopeful 👍

Hi there Justin. I'm 15 years old and a spinto tenor and have a vocal range of E2-C#5-C6. My question is will my voice develop or not because I'm already quite mature physically and I'm concerned about my voice and I don't want it to get weird or too heavy.

I am just wondering what's the differences between singing through slides and belting? isn't that the same concept? but through singing with slides, you can do either from low notes to high notes and high notes to low notes, ........is that the only difference?
@NewYorkVocalCoaching2 жыл бұрын
Hi Yu! Well, slides could be done in any vocal register. Sliding is a technique, whereas Belting has to do with vocal registration. -NYVC

My family thinks im pretty musically talented i play a few instruments intermediately but i really want to sing but the natural talent isnt there for me ive been trying for over a year to learn how to sing well and i cant afford real lessons one of my problems is i can hardly hit a clear note and my voice often quivers and sounds extremely breathy is this because of something im doing wrong or is something in me too weak and needs to be strengthened? -also asking people in the comment section :)
