Hi Sam, the best advice we can give, is to use the camera you can afford. And then depending on how far away you are from the action, generally a longer lens will help get you close to the action. There's some pretty good camcorders on the market these days with good zoom. Thanks for watching the show.

Try 2 more new locations! Southern end of the cycle bridge over Alexandra Canal, EXCELLENT sound as it booms over you and reflects off the new road, especially if they take off 16R. The other one is a bit mysterious, "Tempe Mound" might be the name? Park on Link Road next to another cycleway, and you can get as high as the T1 carpark. I can't see any documentation on why they're putting no walk path to the top, but in concept it seems the same as the waste-remediation spirals in Olympic Park from 25 years ago.

Hey, ah yes, we've already considered these locations :-) We're aware of the southern end of the cycle bridge, but it's not a safe place to perch our setup for hours, given it's a cycle way and we can't block the pathway. Great spot for the odd photo though. The "Tempe Mound" you speak of has a fence around it. Even if the gate is open at times, the location is not open to the public. We have heard access will be restricted. You are correct, that "mound" would have amazing views, though it is environmentally unsafe due to waste from the Northern Lands development, so unfortunately we won't be going there. We do like your thinking out of the box though. Cheers mate

The all white Air New Zealand B77W was one I hadn't seen before. I think the only downside for this viewing spot is aircraft waiting on Bravo blocking us from rating the landings. Watching this on replay, noticed that the chat disconnected.
