Thank you Nurse Deo for this information. I just went through their website and read that if one holds a licence from the U.K, Ireland, Ontario, British Columbia, Singapore, and the USA then you don’t need to write these exams and even the English test. What a relief!! Thank God 😁😁😊.

Thank you. It'll still be case by case basis for the exams As I know a few nurses that was asked to do CAP then even when they are UK-trained/registered because of the CGFNS Evaluation💙

They did not say you don't need to write exams if you are from these countries. They used the word MAY. You MAY not need to write the exams. It depends on the individual case, base on CGFNS evaluation of your documents you submitted.

@@milodinosaur1320 Ooh, you are still with CGFNS, you are still very far. When you are done with them, you come to NCNZ and come stay more longer times. Many nurses have been waiting for 6 to 8 months now, still they have not approved they application till today. I spent 2 months with CGFNS before they approved my application, and immediately sent it to the NCNZ for final approval. CGFNS is more faster than NCNZ in approving your application, provided that all your documents are complete. But NCNZ, even if all your documents are complete, you will continue to wait forever and ever, only God knows when they will approve your application. Everyday they keep telling you, they data base is down, that they are doing system upgrade, and they have backlog of applications that have refused to finish.

No and Yes, if you have nursing licence of Uk, USA, Ireland Canada, and Singapor, and you applied to NCNZ before 4th of December 2023, this new changes will not affect you. But if you applied to NCNZ from 4th of December 2023, you may write the new system of exams and you may be assessed base on the new rules.

Nurse Deo, l got this email from NCNZ, telling me that my application has been triaged and is now being processed by our team of interanational consultants. That when the consultant has completed the assessment, that l will be emailed and receive further information from NCNZ. My question is, this consultant is the case manager or different from the case manager?. I just want to know whether they have given me a case manager base on this email they sent to me. Thank you🙏

hii, I got the same email, I think the email is just to tell us that it will take even longer as they mention the average timeframe is 6 months on the email while on the website they are saying 4 months. They are just extending the timeframe every month, FRUSTRATING!!!

@@Nish1402 Honestly it is very, very fustrating, l'm seek and tired of all these they delays and they continue extension of time. This is 7 months now l applied to NCNZ, l have done my own part, these people don't want to do they own job, they keep giving excuses of backlog of applications since last year. From 6 months now, they will soon increase it to 7 to 8 months of minimum time to approve your application. They refused to put the maximum time.

This is 7 months now l applied to NCNZ, still my application portal is still showing waiting for approval till now. If l know it will take this very long time, l wouldn't have applied to NCNZ. This has thought me a lesson. Any application that doesn't have maximum timeframe, if you don't have patient of waiting for endless time, please don't apply.

No, you don't need to work in New Zealand, before you can transfer your licence to Australia. When you get your New Zealand nursing licence, you can immediately transfer your licence to Australia. But you have to pay to Australia and apply for your licence transfer.

This NCNZ they are too, very, very slow and confuse, they are behaving like Nigeria NMCN now. Before l applied to NCNZ 6 months ago, they said the minimum of assessing and approving your application was at least 3 months, and they have not even given me a case manager, let alone approving my application for 6 months till now. Now they are saying the minimum months, they will use to approve your application, is no longer 3 months, but for 4 months now. They have increased the months from 3 to 4 months. Very soon when they fail again to approve applications of nurses who applied for very long time now, they will increase it again from 4 months to 5 months😂.
