New Zealand NCNZ registrations and assessment are taking very too long time now. I have called them 2 times now, they continue to tell me they have backlog of applications. This is 4 months now l applied, and my application is still showing waiting for approval. By next month January, it will enter 5 months continue waiting😔 Last year it only takes 1 month and they will approve your application.

Since 2023, New Zealand nursing registration now, takes 1 year or more. You will spend 6 months or more waiting for approval by CGFNS NZ, and another 6 months or more, waiting for NCNZ to assaign you a case manager, before you can apply for your APC. I have been waiting for 4 months now, going to 5 months now, they have not assigned me any case manager till now. A lot of unnecessary long protocols. That is why Uk attract more nurses than them, because Uk registration process is very fast and effective. You hardly experience all these long delays.

If you pay 485 NZ Dollars on the 4th of December or after the 4th of December 2023, you will write online theoretical test exam outside NZ and OSCE exam in New Zealand. But if you apply to NCNZ before 4th of December 2023, you will not write any exam. So it depends when you applied.
