In today's video I had an amazing opportunity to film a Nexat machine as it planting our last field of organic soybeans! Big shoutout to the crew and all who helped!

NIce to see a machine that could do the work of 3 combines yet be more gentle on the farmland. Sadly, this machine can't be used on rolling farmland so common in southern Alberta but this thing would really shine in Saskatchewan or Manitoba.

That's a really interesting concept. It wouldn't work on my rough and uneven ground(Ive got steep hills and ditches to cross). It seems kind of clunky and cumbersome turning around on end rows and converting to road mode, but I'm excited to see what comes of it.

2:30 comments of going over own tracks, it is not just the physical pulling tractors, but also the equipment tracks. most equipment folds up on larger setups for road mode, but in field, those same wheels on the equipment / attachments, can cause compaction. you just do not drop seeders down and lift the equipment tires, but let the tires drop the gauge of how deep you are putting seed into the ground, and those equipment tires can cause compaction issues. now that is down niddy griddy in turn areas, but when you get into certain section of fields were it is wetter and softer soils it may become an issue of general tractors and equipment.

Will your farm be able to demo other NEXAT modules during the growing season and harvest? Cultivator, Combine, etc. Did the planter today have any issues and have uniform planting depth, etc?

the planter is a vaderstadt tempo unit, tried and tested in europe. practically every custom planting crew in germany runs these, and for a reason.

But where the tires run there is no crop planted therefore you aren’t planting the entire field so do you really gain that much by not running over plants? Would love to hear your take on that point….
