@@AUTOTOWN_OFFICIAL sir one question what if we put put solar panel on the top it will be worth?
@AUTOTOWN_OFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
Charging the vehicle by installing a solar pannel on the house would make sense. But if you put it on the car, it might not be effective because of the following reasons: 1) the electricity generated will be very small 2) adds a lot of weight for the car and this might even decrease the existing range 3) high risk of getting the panel damaged 4) will be an expensive modification Considering all these things, it's better not to do that

Important Factors to Note that affect an EV's Range : - Vehicle Load (How many people inside the car/luggage). - Travelling Speeds.(All EVs if travelled at 100-120 highway speeds with 3-4 people/luggage and Air-con ON) will have drastically less Mileage. - Temperatures- EVs are ideal for places with moderate temperatures. If you live in a place where its 50*C summer or 0*C winter; your Range will be less. - Your Driving - How gentle are you with you throttle.( More aggressive you accelerate; more power will be consumed for that instant burst of speed) - Vehicle weight and Air Drag co-efficient. - Vehicle BMS Efficiency ( How good ur Battery Management system software is ) - There are several other factors that will affect an EV's Range. - Nexon uses 30.2 kWh Battery. Comparatively Popular Costlier Western EV's have a Minimum of 60-66kwh for Base models. So Despite with Future S/W Updates; Nexon Average Real world Range will peak out at maximum 250km If used like a normal ICE Car. - Nexon EV is ideal for City Drive. This or Most EVs in India are not yet Ideal for highway cruising without proper planning. Final Note: We are at precipice of great Technological Advancement in Automobile Industry in past 200 years. These EV's are still in First Generation. It will only get better, efficient and cheaper in the future. People who buy an EV now is an early adapter and should be willing to overlook certain disadvantages to support the Industry financially for future Development.

Great video to address the range anxiety about EVs that people have even though most people do not drive more than 100 km in a day within city. But I'm sure that if 50-0% SOC can deliver 124 km range, 100-0% would deliver more than 248 km. That said, one should never discharge a Li-ion battery below 15% SOC as it seriously damages the battery capacity.

When the car shifted from sports or drive mode to neutral, the car can cover a distance of 1 km by simply coasting or may be more. May be there is a Solution for EV users. Drive upto 80kmphs in "D" mode and shift to "N" and put it back to D when reaches down to 50kmph. Some range can be increased. As it is said (drops of water creates an Oceans)👍👍 Think about it 👍🙏 Talking about normal roads which we drive on which we don't feel the decline. Don't think that I am talking about hill station roads. In normal taxiwala use this trick while driving petrol or diesel car or even CNG to increase the Range. This Coasting or Neutral should be done in Highways or Open Roads were less traffic.

Why would you damage the battery so much? Down to 0%. Nexon doesn't have a buffer on the battery. You really shouldn't be doing a deep discharge like this. Even for a video. Should have stopped the test at 5% SOC You should make a 100% to 5% drain of the battery and estimate the usable capacity of the battery pack. By multiplying the distance you can cover in 95% charge multiplied by th efficiency in Wh/Km and divide by 0.95 It'll give you the usable capacity in the car. Using that you can monitor the battery health of the car by repeating the test after a few years.
@ayayotoko2 жыл бұрын
It's not fully 100% drain. The car is showing that but it's only showing the discharge percentage of the battery. so it will not get damage. Same with your Phone. Let's say 80% is the discharge of your battery so the company only allow you to use 80% of the battery to avoid damaging it draining to full 100%. ^_^ so your 1% to 100% full charge is only 1% to 80% on the battery side.

Courageous attempt to drain down the battery to nil so that no one else does that misadventure... normally one would get very anxious at 25 % of remaining battery. So even if we consider 250 km range... one would feel nervous after running for 200 kms. No buying electric vehicles till single charge range goes upto 600 kms and price comes below 8 lakh. That's my personal benchmark.

Most people won't ride more than 60 kms day, in worst case, suppose the vehicle gives 180 km range with full AC & Rough riding, buyer has to charge every 3rd day, i.e 10 times at max in a month. which is 30 units every full charge X 10 rs/ unit power charge X 10 times a month= 3000 rs per month, compare it with Petrol which will take 60 kms X 30 days = 1800 kms, mileage is 13 Overall for Nexon Petrol version, i.e 138.4 litres x 100 rs per litre= 13840 rs per month, clearly one can save 10000+ in fuel cost even if the EV range is worst, considering other charges such as maintenance and lower insurance charges one can save around 12000 per month, the only thing stopping me is the charging infrastructure not as much as the range at least for city driving its a no brainer.

How and where to buy in Belgium?
@mviv63393 жыл бұрын
@@frankyduschek3366 just catch a flight to India from Brussels to Delhi. Its a short taxi drive from the airport to a tata dealer. Pay 23000 usd , collect the car and arrange air or sea transportation to Brussels. And in a few weeks or months you are the proud owner of a nexon ev. Of course using the car heater in a cold place like Belgium will reduce your range to around 130 km. But why worry about that.

Car warranty is 3 Years, Battery Warranty is 8 Years and most importantly, the battery life is near at 15 Years if maintained properly. So dear, 15 Years is enough to drive a car After 15 Years no need to replace the battery, just buy a new car with new technology

Finally for 1 full charge, how many km u claim ??
@AUTOTOWN_OFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
With 50% we were able to cover 124.1 km which can be estimated as 248 km for 1 full charge with air conditioning turned on, using sports mode occasionally making it a real world range that one can expect. And it's worthy to note that it was in a testdrive vehicle. In new vehicle, we can expect more range ( about 270 km -300 km )
