@@1776AxlePowerDM they make a good point. You go out there at any of these tracks and go make a pitstop. You go out there and make sure you hit your shifts and marks consistently every single time; and with tires fading, car getting lighter, track changing, being knowledgeable about how to adjust your car and adjusting your marks to maximize your time. Boring? I think 600 miles where the "real" racing happens within the last 100 gets boring, but boring doesn't always mean easy

I despised the idea and execution at first but they’re growing on me. I think eventually the designs will take advantage of the placement and help to balance out the space. Some are already doing a much better job than others.

The well funded teams will always figure out every new piece of technology and every change made by NASCAR to gain advantage over other teams. In the end it will always be the same teams up front and the action will be very limited and predictable. The only tracks that provide true excitement and opportunity for smaller teams to win or at least get a top ten are Daytona and Talladega. That's why post race you'll hear the usual cry babies complain about having to race at these two tracks.

Just not a fan of the forward numbers😟, but how accurate are the times and car setups in the current conditions and ambient and track temperatures compared to what they will be in Daytona?? I know they need a baseline to go off of, but the difference in HP and Shock setups in charlotte’s might not apply to Daytona in February.

I'm sure that all bets are off on what hp package will be used. They have proven that if you give this new car more hp, the drivers can pull up on the car in front of them and make passes quicker.

I just saw something that I haven't seen in a while now that I think about it. Truex was faster than the 31 and went to the high side Mid-Corner and was able to pass him with the 550 you had to pick the high or low if you tried going high to pass Center of the corner you'd lose momentum and nothing would happen. Kind of promising to see that gives me some optimism

This is the best thing I have seen so far in the Gen 7 testing! More horsepower, slightly less downforce! Drivers can actually make moves and pass!! They better not stick with 550hp as full throttle around an intermediate has been a complete disaster.

They are all spread out and single file within 3 laps. What exactly is different or better than the previous car? To NASCAR: Lower the down force, raise the horsepower, and get the cars about 6 inches off the ground. Then you will have good racing again.

They did all these things except raise the ride height. The teams lowered the cars because it made them faster and made them handle better

@@DMR_Videos still need about 200-250 more HP. The whole bottom of the cars is designed to create down force. They need to try and mimick down force numbers from the gen 4 car. If they are going to not enforce a minimum ride height, then down force will be king, and the racing will be exactly the same.

That was very concerning for me as well, I don't want a pack, but I don't want a straightaway between 1st and 10th in 3 laps because of f1 style dirty air. Which seems to be an issue still if we look closely

@@tylerashbeck8484 what are you talking about? you're making no f****** sense. testing is in practice and they are having practice at every track this coming year. the 8 races with practice this year was like I said set in stone in Fall of 2020 just for 2021 session as no one knew at the time what covid would look like and teams didn't want to go week to week they wanted a set policy so could budget and also it saved them lots of money with 1 day shows. They have to test with the new car to get bugs worked out of the car and make changes if needed to the rules package

I wish nascar would understand that we want to see the cars numbers when they're racing. With the number centered, you can see it more clearly and you can also see it from more angles. I highly doubt that they consulted with anyone who had any sort of expertise in design
